Hi, we’re Nadia and Lara – Co-Founders of The Admin Hive!
When we first met we bonded over a shared dark sense of humour and a slightly unhealthy obsession with reading psychological thrillers.
We were each running our own VA businesses, and we’d both noticed a glaring gap in the industry when we’d first started: there was surprisingly little out there to actually help someone become a VA and build a business with confidence. No clear roadmap, no honest guidance, just a lot of figuring it out as you go.
So we put our heads together to do something about it.
Within days of that conversation, we had a company name, a domain, and a website in the works.
We’ve spent time building our own independent VA businesses, learning the industry from the inside, and between us we bring over 40 years of combined admin experience across a wide range of fields. We know the wins, the wobbles, and the “why did nobody tell me about this?” moments, because we’ve collected all of them along the way.
That experience became the foundation for everything The Admin Hive does today.
Why We Built the Training
When we reflected on our own journeys into VA work, a few things stood out. We had a wealth of Administrative experience, but there were gaps in the skills and knowledge we needed to move that to a Virtual set up. As for the business side of things, like knowing how to find clients, how to price our services, setting boundaries, building systems etc – that was where we and so many other VA’s struggled.
We both spent the start of our VA journey learning on the job through trial and error, picking up bits of information from here and there, taking one course and then another and another with none of them really offering a complete “business in a box” roadmap.
It was tough, and it took longer than it needed to for us to get to a place where we had ironed out all the kinks.
We wanted to create the training and resources that we wished we’d had when we first started.
So we teamed up to do just that – and the result is a Hive of knowledge that’s practical, honest, and built by VAs for VAs.
So whether you’re taking your very first steps, or you’re already working with clients and ready to grow – our training will make the process easier.
We Still Love the Agency Side Too
The Admin Hive agency isn’t going anywhere. We continue to support our existing clients with the same brilliant VA service they’ve come to rely on, and we’re always happy to help new businesses find the right person for the job. It’s just that now, we’re equally passionate about making sure that person is as well-equipped and confident as possible before they get started.
What We Stand For
